Maxwell Canyon, Hildale, Utah

About: We are excited to explore this spot that the Audubon has never before visited. Target species will the be the Red-naped Sapsucker and other higher elevation species. We will walk the trails around the park and canyon and, if time, visit some of the small reservoirs in the area. The scenery alone is worth the trip. We plan to bird to bird for at least 3 hours. Bring water, snacks, and lunch.

Meeting Place: Meet at 8am at the BLM parking lot. 345 E. Riverside Drive, St. George. Or, meet at 8:45am at the Walmart in Hurricane on 8:00am to carpool and caravan. If you meet at Walmart, meet at the parking lane on the SW corner of the main parking lot near the public recycling bins. We will plan to be at Maxwell Park in the canyon at 9:30am.
