Location: Enepitsi Trail

Meeting Place: Tukepetsi Trailhead 1700 North Graveyard Wash, Santa Clara.

Directions: From Saint George, travel north on Dixie Drive or Bluff Street, then turn left onto Sunset Boulevard. Continue driving west on Sunset Boulevard as it turns into Santa Clara Drive. Continue through downtown and after you start up the hill, turn left onto Graveyard Wash Rd (= West 1700 North) at the sign for “TRAILHEADS” and the Santa Clara Public Works. After 0.4 miles on this dirt road, you will reach the Tukupetsi Trailhead sign and parking lot on the left.

About: About: The unpaved Enepitsi Trail ascends from the trailhead up and over a fairly steep hillbefore leveling out to parallel the Santa Clara River through a riparian zone bordered by cliffs. (We will not follow the Tukepetsi Trail that climbs up to the right to the cliff ridgeline.) Lucy’s and Yellow Warblers, Rock, Canyon and Bewick’s Wrens, gnatcatchers and flycatchers, towhees and desert sparrows, and raptors are likely. There are no bathroom facilities.
