Virtual Presentation: Birds of the Mojave Desert

Join Alex Harper for a virtual presentation where he will provide an overview on what birds are doing over the course of the seasons in our region. He will cover topics such as migration, how bird species correlate with plant communities, and describe unique adaptations of several Mojave bird species. This will be a great opportunity for beginning birders and observers of nature that are wanting to know more about why bird species change through the year, and what that means for finding them. Because we are transitioning from fall migration and into winter, there will be a bit more emphasis on birds found in November and December. This will better prepare those wanting to participate in Christmas Bird Counts.

The event is free but requires registration. CLICK HERE to Register. The presentation begins at 7:30pm Mountain Time (Utah) and 6:30pm Pacific Time (Las Vegas) .
