Johnson Canyon

Note: We are moving the Johnson Canyon tour scheduled for April 1 to today because the park closes the canyon in April for nesting Black-throated Swifts. Today’s Snow Canyon Tour will be held on April 1st. Both tours start at the same place. Do not go to the Sand Dunes today as we will start hiking from the Johnson Canyon Trailhead.

Meeting Place: Meet at the Johnson Canyon Arch parking lot just before entering the park (340 Snow Canyon Dr, Ivins, UT).

Special Instructions: We will be traveling on good dirt trails, but uneven in places. Our target species for this walk will be the Rufous-crowned Sparrow.
